Pipilotti Rist’s “Pepperminta”

Pipilotti Rist is one of the artists that I am considering to research for our artist presentation assignment.  She is a video artist from Switzerland who is really awesome.  Critics have called her both a feminist and a conceptualist.  Her work is filled with energy, color, happiness and simplicity.  Pipilotti’s work appeals the senses first and forement, and creates atmospheres filled with sights, touches, and smells that seem almost tangible.  Don’t let the sense of silly fool you though; once you delve into her work it becomes quickly apparent that it is definitely engaging in a trans-generational and art historical dialogue.
